Camila Frederico

Nestled high in the Sonoran Desert just outside of Scottsdale, Arizona, CIVANA Wellness Resort & Spa is pleased to announce the appointment of General Manager, Camila Frederico. As an industry veteran, Camila offers her visionary expertise to further bolster CIVANA as a premium wellness destination for modern travelers - which recently ranked among the top 10 wellness resorts and spas in the U.S. by Travel + Lesiure, Conde Nast Traveler, and USA Today, to name a few. Camila joins a leadership team comprised of more than 90% women, and together they will continue to bring to life CIVANA's promise to be a playground of wellbeing with a focus on happiness first, healthiness always.

As the General Manager, Camila is responsible for all aspects of operations at the hotel, providing leadership and strategic planning to all departments in support of CIVANA's brand service culture, while maximizing financial success and guest and team member satisfaction. With considerable experience in hospitality, Camila served as Hotel Manager at The Westin St. Francis. Prior to this role, Camila served as the Director of Operations for W San Francisco for several years. She has also held positions at exceptional hospitality brands including The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, starting as Assistant Director of Food & Beverage and notably shifting to Director of Rooms to oversee a $36 million renovation of the guestrooms and spa. Previously, she was at The Ritz-Carlton, Phoenix as Assistant Director of Meetings and Special Events.

Camila graduated with a B.A. in Economics from the University Mackenzie in São Paulo, Brazil. She also holds a M.A. in Journalism from the University Casper-Libero in São Paulo, Brazil.
