Kristin Beringson

Henley, an acclaimed Modern American Brasserie in Nashville's Kimpton Aertson Hotel, announces the appointment of Executive Chef Kristin Beringson.

Executive Chef Kristin Beringson began her culinary journey in 2009 when she made the bold decision to leave behind her career in retail management and pursue her passion for culinary arts at The Art Institute of Tennessee-Nashville. While enrolled in school, she honed her craft at a number of restaurants before finding her way to the pioneering Holland House, an East Nashville speakeasy-style restaurant. Upon graduation, she was promo ted to executive chef and transformed was what known as a high-end cocktail bar into an acclaimed dining destination.

After nearly four years, Beringson left Holland House to open City Winery as executive chef, and later to open SILO, an upscale Southern-inspired bistro in historic Germantown. In 2018, Beringson decided to diversify her culinary knowledge and accepted the position as chef de cuisine to open The Green Pheasant, a Japanese fusion-style concept from Seed Hospitality. Two years later, Beringson deepened her passion for hospitality as executive chef of Ellington's Mid Way Bar & Grill inside The Fairlane Hotel before accepting the position as executive chef of Henley in 2021. At Henley's helm, Beringson weaves her appreciation for classic French technique with her fondness for Mediterranean flavors made with local, sustainable ingredients into the Southern soul of Henley's modern American brasserie.

Beringson has flexed her culinary skil ls on Food Network's "Chopped," where she brought home the title of "Chopped Champion" in 2014. She has also been featured in The Tennessean, Nashville Lifestyles and the Nashville Business Journal. When she's not in the kitchen, Beringson enjoys chasing after her two sons, Harvey and Oliver, and volunteering with the Future Farmers of America, Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee and Hands On Nashville.
