Appointed Sustainability Executive
At The Hari, London in London, United Kingdom
Emma-Louise joins The Hari with a passion for sustainability and responsible travel. She followed her bachelor's degree in Tourism Management at the University of Surrey with an MSc in Travel Industry Management at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Here,
Emma-Louise tailored the two-year programme to reflect her dedication to environmentally conscious travel, developing a tool to manage the sustainability of cultural heritage sites. This culminated in a 6-week project testing the social responsibility of 18 cultural sites in South East Asia, nine of which were UNESCO world heritage sites. Emma-Louise followed her education with an internship at the Centre for Responsible Travel, a non-profit organisation in Washington DC, before embarking on a position at Intrepid Travel, the world's largest sustainable travel company.
