Camila Frederico has been appointed General Manager at La Cantera Resort & Spa in San Antonio
La Cantera Resort & Spa welcomes Camila Frederico as the new General Manager of the award-winning resort as the first female to hold the title.
As General Manager, Frederico will oversee all of the resort's operations which spans 550 acres and includes 496 rooms, 34 boutique-style villas, an adults-only floor, multiple pools, golf course, expansive meeting and event space, and nearly a dozen food and beverage offerings plus the 25,000 square-foot Loma de Vida Spa & Wellness.
Frederico brings with her more than 20 years of experience across all facets of hospitality management. Prior to joining La Cantera Resort & Spa, Frederico worked at some of the top names in hospitality and wellness including: CIVANA Wellness Resort & Spa in Carefree, Arizona; in San Francisco at The W Hotel and The Westin St. Francis San Francisco on Union Square; and both The Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay and Phoenix.
She has been recognized by The Ritz-Carlton Phoenix as Leader of the Year in 2006 and 2010, and by The Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay as Leader of the Year in 2014. In 2008 and 2009, she was awarded the distinction of Pinnacle Golden Circle Achiever, and in 2010 she won the Phil Itzoe Memorial Award for Service Excellence, voted on by the teams of Major League Baseball.
Beyond her professional accolades, Frederico was a decorated competitive gymnast in her home country of Brazil, and earned both a Bachelor's and Master's degree at the same time. She brings the same spirit, determination and lifelong interest in health and wellness to her new role at La Cantera.
