Khalid Al Ashqar has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at InterContinental Al Jubail Resort in Dubai
Al Ashqar has been in the industry for 20 years, starting out as a receptionist in Riyadh with the Holiday Inn brand. By 2002, he moved to Al Faisaliah Hotel (now under Mandarin Oriental) as VIP sales executive. Five years later, he would land his first managerial role through Raffles Dubai as sales manager.
Two years later, he was made associate director, global sales for Fairmont in Riyadh, later moving to Rosewood as regional director of sales. He would go on to work at Leading Hotels of the World, Hyatt and Nobu Hospitality across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
