Firas Sharrouf has been appointed General Manager at Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche
Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche has brought in a new general manager. Firas Sharrouf steps into the top position with 20 years of hospitality experience behind him, most of which has been in the emirates. Prior to taking his current role as the general manager of Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche, Sharrouf had worked at Fairmont Marina Hotel and Residences. Initially, started as director of operations and later as interim general manager for four years where he focused on project management and directed the team to establish the opening of the Fairmont Residences. Alongside his role as preopening interim general manager, Sharrouf had managed the acquisition of two luxury properties for the company in two different countries within the region. He has served as both the task force GM of Royal Saray Resort managed by Accor in Bahrain, and the La Cigale Hotel managed by Accor in Qatar.
Before his service in Accor, he spent six years with Jumeirah Group. Initially, he was front office manager of the Jumeirah Beach Hotel for four years, going on to serve as a resident manager for a Jumeirah property in the Maldives. Following that, he worked as director of rooms at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray.
Since starting in the emirates in 2006, Sharrouf has worked for Rotana, Shangri-La, Address Hotels and The H Dubai.
