Maureen Vipperman has been appointed Director of Spa & Wellness at The Rittenhouse in Philadelphia

The Rittenhouse, a member of Leading Hotels of the World and the first and only independent Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Philadelphia, today introduced Maureen Vipperman, The Rittenhouse Spa & Club's new director of spa and wellness. Passionate about treatment innovation and providing a top-tier guest experience, Vipperman brings more than two decades of expertise to her role with emphasis on programming development and maintaining the standard of luxury and excellence the urban wellness retreat is known for.
An industry visionary celebrated for blending the best of spa, wellness and business in the hospitality world, Vipperman has long focused on program development strategies and forward-thinking innovation for world-class spa facilities. She began her career in 1999 as the corporate director of resort spa operations at the then-named Renaissance Resort in Bay Harbor, Mich., and has since held roles at acclaimed California resort spas including The Spa at Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa in Dana Point and The Spa at Pacific Palms Resort in City of Industry. Most recently, she served as the corporate director of resort spa operations for Opal Collection hotels and resorts with specific emphasis on The Spa at Sandpearl in Clearwater Beach, Fla. In her new role with the Rittenhouse Spa & Club, Vipperman leads day-to-day operations in addition to creative programming ideation and execution to ensure the highest quality guest experience.
In addition to being a highly regarded spa expert, Vipperman is a United States Air Force Gold Star Mother, published author, Marine Corp. Veteran and certified naturopathic nutritionist. In her leisure time, she enjoys import shopping, reading and yoga.
