Alexander Schnoeller

The Lake House on Canandaigua, the Finger Lakes' premier luxury hotel, has welcomed seasoned hospitality executive Alexander Schnoeller as its new general manager. Schnoeller brings more than two decades of global leadership experience with renowned brands including Mandarin Oriental, Nobu Hospitality and JW Marriott.

Schnoeller most recently served as managing director of The Seagate in Delray Beach, Florida, where he led a transformative, multi-million-dollar renovation across the 157-room luxury resort, private Beach Club, re-designed golf course and marina operations. He successfully guided complex stakeholder relationships and elevated the guest experience while driving strong revenue and membership growth. During Schnoeller's tenure, he also oversaw the launch of the 300-seat Bourbon Steak Delray Beach by Michael Mina and was deeply engaged in community partnerships, including major philanthropic sponsorships with Habitat for Humanity.

Before The Seagate, Schnoeller held strategic leadership roles with JW Marriott Nashville, Nobu Hospitality at Eden Roc Miami Beach, the Palms Resort & Casino and multiple Mandarin Oriental properties across Europe, Asia and the United States. Throughout his career, Schnoeller has built a reputation for operational excellence, financial turnaround success and inspiring high-performing teams. He has contributed to achieving top industry accolades, including Triple Forbes Five-Star awards for Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas and has consistently delivered strong revenue gains, enhanced profitability and award-winning guest satisfaction.

Schnoeller holds an Executive MBA from the Royal Institute of Technology in Australia and a hospitality degree from Hotel School Neusiedl am See. Originally from Austria, he is passionate about creating enriching guest experiences that celebrate local culture, cuisine, and community.
