Jon Inge

I am an independent consultant in the use of computer-based systems in hotels, with over thirty years of experience in the industry from both the systems vendor and the operational sides.

My focus is on property-based technology: Property Management Systems, Sales & Catering, Point of Sale, Spa/Golf/Activities Management, Inventory/Purchasing and all the many and various other systems with which they interact in a hotel environment. I work with other Associates who have similar specialties in the Central Reservations, Telecommunications and PBX fields.

I also write full-length articles regularly for the trade press (particularly Hospitality Upgrade magazine), and compile the Technology News for the bi-weekly “Siegel Sez” edition of Hotel-Online’s daily electronic newsletter.

Established in 1996, my consultancy practice maintains a wide client base, working with chains and properties of all sizes both in the USA and internationally. I am a Certified Hotel Technology Professional (CHTP), have served in the past as a member of the AH&LA’s Technology Committee and of HFTP’s HITEC Advisory Council, and am a member of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants. In June 2006 I was deeply honored to be inducted into HFTP’s International Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame.
