Mark Satterfield

Mark Satterfield is the Chief Operating Officer of Marriott International’s Africa Region where he is responsible for the operations and success for all of the company’s managed and franchised hotels in the region. Mark has had the responsibility for the integration and management of Protea Hotels by Marriott following their acquisition by Marriott in 2014.

Satterfield joined Marriott in 1987 as a management trainee and has held numerous positions of increasing operational responsibility. His most recent assignment was as area vice president for the United Kingdom South & Ireland.

Satterfield is a graduate of the Cornell University School of Hotel Management.
