Dominic Maurer “Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life.” This quote perfectly encapsulates my passion for the hospitality industry and my chosen career path. The huge diversity of this industry allows each one of us to gain an array of experiences and ultimately to leave our own footprint. Dominic Maurer grew up in Germany and Switzerland, where he studied at Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne. He gained first operational experience in Germany and at the Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong, where he acquired a sensitivity to cultural diversity and learned to make a difference in each and every detail. While working for Oetker Collection’s Fregate Island in the Seychelles, he was able to add to his operational knowledge with newly acquired acumen in sales and marketing. Dominic enjoys being able to leverage his knowledge and experience in the hotel industry in his daily interactions around the globe at AETHOS Consulting Group. The exposure to so many facets of the sector feeds his hospitality soul and keeps his passion alive.
