Winnaretta Zina Singer

Head of Innovation Pole at Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne

Zina Singer

Winnaretta Zina Singer is British and Iranian, born in France and raised in England and Monaco. After obtaining a Baccalaureate in Economics in 1992, she moves to Switzerland to study at Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne then HEC Lausanne. The first 10 years of her career are focused on innovative medical services for travelers, alternatively for start-ups and large international groups. She enhances her key account and management skills by developing markets in Switzerland, England, Israel, West Africa and central and South America. In 2011, while expecting her second son, she completes her education with a Strategic Marketing in Action program at IMD then joins Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne to develop Key Account Management first at the Transportation Center then the Vice Presidency for Innovation. She works closely with research and the industry for the next 6 years managing and optimizing partnerships with Large Enterprises based at the EPFL Innovation Park. Managing an innovation ecosystem is a subtil enterprise that she learns to grasp during that period. Early 2018 she backs-up the management of the EPFL FoodCenter. Since mid 2018 she has returned to Ecole Hotelière de Lausanne for a once in a lifetime opportunity: to define the vision, set-up and grow the EHL Innovation Village.
