The promising news of the UK Government's vaccine deal has offered a beacon of hope during this challenging time, but life is far from returning to 'normal' anytime soon. Now entering the recently announced enhanced restrictions of the 'tier system', and with the potential for further lockdowns in 2021, people are approaching Christmas with greater caution and uncertainty, and the hospitality industry is having to adapt during what is traditionally its most lucrative period.
As the UK looks to emerge from the COVID-19 lockdown, business leaders have been calling upon the Government to set out its plan for how we might return to some sense of normality. Unsurprisingly, the hospitality industry has been amongst the most vocal, given numerous concerns over the practicalities of reopening venues under social distancing guidelines.
The hospitality industry has been one of the sectors most badly impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Across the UK, all pubs, bars and restaurants have had to close their doors and shut up shop, in order to abide by the unprecedented measures ordered by the Government.
