Karl Faux

Karl originates from Austria where he started his professional career with the Vienna Intercontinental Hotel. He was given the opportunity to transfer and as a result was able to work and enjoy life in 9 Intercontinental hotels across the world over a period of 14 years. He is a seasoned traveller who understands and respects many different cultures, and speaks a number of languages fluently. Prior to settling in Australia he spent many years overseas, 14 of which were based in Singapore. Over the years, he has had numerous articles published in newspapers, magazines and trade publications, and is known as an active opinion builder for investors and senior executives in Asia and Australia. Karl is enthusiastic about the industry’s future and relishes the challenge to find new talent to match the ambitions of fine hotels — this is undoubtedly one of the most rewarding aspects of his role. He is a passionate cyclist and enjoys the outdoors and most of all the beaches of Western Australia.
