Professor Po-Ju Chen, Ph.D., is the Michael P. Johnson Distinguished Professor of Business and department chair of the Hospitality and Tourism Administration Department, School of Business at the North Carolina Central University. Dr. Chen is a two-time US Fulbright Scholar (2015: Austria/2012: Denmark) as a subject matter expert in hospitality management, innovation and social entrepreneurship. Dr. Chen was the primary data analyst for the Institute of Internal Auditor for the Body of Knowledge project. She had conduct projects with lodging industry (Marriott, Hyatt, Nickelodeon Resort Hotels, and as guest services management instructor for Walt Disney World-UCF program. Prior to her appointment as faculty and administrator in academia, Dr. Chen had over 10 years of experiences working in hotels, airlines, and restaurants. Her research interests include marketing and consumer behaviors involving hospitality and tourism. Her secondary research focuses on entrepreneurship, innovation, sustainability and cross-cultural research. Her work has earned research awards and academic recognition. Dr. Chen has published several articles in leading business, hospitality and tourism-related academic research journals. She currently serves as the co-Executive-Editor of the Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Education (JHTE) as well as the co-Executive- Editor of the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Cases (JHTC).
