Launched in 2016, ASSET-H&C aims at becoming a key regional player in the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector as well as in sustainable hospitality and tourism.

As of today, 14 schools have joined ASSET-H&C as members. They are located across 5 countries: Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.

Every year, all ASSET-H&C members gather for a 2-day seminar in order to share and exchange good practices, challenges, ideas and experiences. The last part of the seminar is a public conference, open to the members' respective networks and to all interested professionals. It will take place on December 7th, from 2pm to 6.30pm.

In 2017, ASSET-H&C members agreed on putting a focus on the theme "Innovative Ideas for Eco-responsible Hospitality & Tourism", for various reasons: it is first a relevant way to end the 2017 "Year of Tourism for Sustainable Development" and second, it would be strongly correlated to the launch of the Ecospitality initiative within ASSET-H&C - which is about raising awareness and favouring action to reduce collective environmental footprint in schools and among students of the hospitality sector.

The global objective of the conference is to inform the network about ASSET-H&C and its members, and to replace their action into the broader regional economic and social context, while inspiring and broadcasting solutions to build a greener tourism sector as a whole.
