AC Hotels by Marriott has rolled out its first New York property in the heart of Manhattan with the launch of the AC Hotel New York Times Square. The Midtown hotel features the brand’s signature contemporary, European style with the design-driven spirit of the city’s Fashion District.
Local firm Helpern Architects spearheaded the development of the urban concept, using materials such as Venetian terrazzo, quarter-sawn dark walnut millwork, and statuary bronze aglow with dark patina. The hotel also boasts a contemporary art collection featured across 14 public spaces. Of the property’s 290 guestrooms, the upper-level suites on the 18th floor are equipped with full balconies; several rooms offer floor-to-ceiling windows.
Onsite F&B options include the street level Boqueria, which hosts an outdoor seasonal dining patio, and year-round lounge Castell, anchoring the 20th-floor rooftop.
