The Hotel Savoy, a Rocco Forte Hotel in Florence, Italy has announced the opening of its new Duomo presidential suite. Designed by Rocco Forte Hotels’ design director Olga Polizzi, the 1,600-square-foot accommodation occupies its own wing of the hotel, ensconced in a distinctive Florentine aesthetic.
Guests are welcomed to the residential-style accommodation with a hunting dog sculpture crafted by Ceccarelli Ceramics. The suite exudes opulence with special furnishings crafted by local artisans, including custom bronze tables and gold leaf mirrors. Natural light floods the suite via large windows that illuminate herringbone floors and the wooded, nature-themed sylvan wallpaper. A turquoise color palette anchors the interior, which boasts a living room and bookcases sourced in Castorina. A dining room, private bar, and bathrooms lined with Carrara marble and mosaic tiling are also housed within the space.
