Historic Hotels of America® and Historic Hotels Worldwide® are participating with multiple Emmy Award-winning producer and Travel Detective television host, Peter Greenberg for the Hotels with a Past series.

Historic Hotels Worldwide® has inducted 30 historic hotels into its registry in 2017. The 30 iconic hotels represent more than 10 brands, chains, and collections from 14 countries. The oldest historic hotel inducted in 2017 is the NH Collection Porta Rossa which includes a building that dates back to the 13th century.

Historic Hotels of America® has inducted 20 historic hotels into membership in 2017. Hotels nominated and accepted into the prestigious National Trust for Historic Preservation Historic Hotels of America program range in age from 246 years to 52 years old.

Historic Hotels of America® has inducted more than 300 historic hotels. Many of these legendary places are reported to have some spirited guests who continue to roam the halls of these historic hotels long after they should have checked out.

Historic Hotels of America® and Historic Hotels Worldwide® are pleased to announce the winners of the 2017 Awards of Excellence. Recipients were honored at a special ceremony and gala at The Omni Homestead Resort (1766) in Hot Springs, Virginia on Thursday, September 28.
