Award-winning, design and experience-led hostel group Generator today announces the appointment of Michelle Flagg as Vice President of Development for North America as the Group looks to build on its first US opening in Miami, scheduled for 2017.
#GenLove continues in 2016 as Generator Hostels expands its portfolio with three highly anticipated milestone openings across top European destinations: Amsterdam, Stockholm and Rome. Beginning with Amsterdam which opens on 16th March, each property will open its doors in time for peak the summer season, enabling jetsetters to experience spring and summer's best attractions from Amsterdam's Tulp Festival to Parkteatern and Summer Burst in Stockholm to Rome's Roman Summer.
Carl was appointed executive chairman of Patron Generator Holding Ltd in summer 2011. He led the rebranding work and has been involved in the rapid roll-out of the Generator hostels platform. He is also on the board of Stay Wyse, the industry association covering youth accommodation providers.
Generator, the brand that is transforming the European hostel category with its hip urban design hostels, arrives in Paris in 2015. The property, located in the fashionable 10th Arrondissement, will be the largest Generator to date with 916 beds.
The hostel and limited service hotel sector is becoming one of the most dynamic hospitality investment sectors, with its adaptability and cost effectiveness along with intense competition from both group and independent operators contributing to rapid expansion.
The new Generator will be located in the University of Amsterdam's former health sciences and zoological department, and will accommodate up to 566 guests in 168 twin and quadruple rooms with park or garden views and en-suite bathrooms.
