TRIP.com First To Offer Travelers Wireless Flight Rebooking - A few keystrokes on a mobile device and ... you're rebooked! (Complete with confirmation number)

DENVER, June 13 / TRIP.com, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Galileo International GLC, today announced that it is first-to-market to launch a wireless capability for rebooking flights with a few key strokes of a mobile device. Travelers using TRIP.com Wireless(TM) will be the first ever to rebook a flight from start to finish using a mobile device: from accessing alternative flight details, to rebooking, to receiving a confirmation number...

The full spectrum of TRIP.com applications is made available on Internet phones under an agreement with AT&T Wireless. Through this agreement, TRIP.com Wireless is one of the featured sites in AT&T Digital PocketNet(SM) service's Travel category.

"While many other travel services use wireless technology to provide data notification, TRIP.com takes wireless to the next level by giving travelers the power to transact," said Jim Gregory, VP Marketing, TRIP.com. "Imagine sitting in a crucial meeting, it's running long, and all it takes you is a few seconds on the spot to check seat availability and reschedule yourself to a later flight. That's a tremendous advantage for our road warriors."

TRIP.com users subscribing to AT&T Digital PocketNet service will have all travel-related information sent to them through their Internet phone once they have input their itinerary at the TRIP.com Internet site; they can also tag the itineraries of business associates or family members. For the first time, wireless travelers will have access to all three elements -- flight, hotel, and car -- of multiple itineraries, as well as the ability to transact on their mobile device. By enabling users to transact wirelessly, TRIP.com has closed the loop of services where other travel providers had previously left off.

"TRIP.com's service demonstrates the power of AT&T Digital PocketNet service to better manage our work and personal lives," said Larry Atwell, Director, Business Development. "AT&T and TRIP.com are working together to provide travelers with greater flexibility and peace of mind."

TRIP.com offers the traveler the most comprehensive personalized wireless travel package available, including:
