Kiosk Becomes Internet-Enabled Tool For Guests To Access Information
PARSIPPANY, N.J. -- Wingate Inns International, Inc. today announced that its express desk, check-in/out kiosks will become Internet-enabled electronic concierges that will allow guests to access a variety of information.
"By utilizing the T-1 high-speed lines at every Wingate Inn® hotel, our express desks, or ED as we call them, are going to be more than just check-in, check-out kiosks," explains Keith J. Pierce, president & CEO of Wingate Inns International. "They're going to become Internet-enabled tools with an array of assorted functionalities. Guests will be able to walk up and utilize ED to find information on local restaurants, shopping malls and attractions. They'll also be able to access familiar websites like USA Today or Go2online right in the lobby of our hotels."
Pierce continues, "Our goal is to create an interactive kiosk that provides ample functionality for guests. In addition to allowing guests to check-in or out, an Internet-enabled ED lets them basically use the kiosk as a Web-browsing unit like a computer at home or in the office.
