The Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino Selects SynXis' GDS Connectivity to Increase Awareness - Enhanced Reservation Services Will Provide Connectivity to Major GDSs

MCLEAN, VA, Sept. 4 - SynXis Corporation, a leading provider of reservation management and distribution systems for the hospitality industry, announced today that The Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino in Las Vegas is implementing GDS Connectivity as part of the SynXis Agent® suite of Internet-based reservation management and distributions systems, including the new Group Block Management feature.

The Venetian, recognized in the lodging industry for its combination of traditional Italian atmosphere and state-of-the-art technology, was recently awarded AAA's Four Diamond Award for providing guests with the highest standards in service, atmosphere and quality. The award has been given to only 3% of the 26,000 hotels that AAA rates. By using GDS Connectivity, The Venetian will enhance travel agent and consumer awareness by connecting to the four major GDS services as well as major online travel Web sites such as Travelocity, Expedia, and PlacesToStay.com.

The Venetian selected SynXis because its GDS connectivity will enhance industry awareness and bring additional profitability to our resort," said Rom Hendler, Director of Revenue Management for The Venetian. "When the Group Block Management feature is integrated into our system, it will further help us manage our growing conference/convention business; less data entry will be needed each year to plan group functions because the information is stored from year to year. Meeting planners will only need to update the stored information, which they can do online."

"We are excited to work with The Venetian to provide advanced technology solutions to one of the most prestigious resort-casinos in the world," said Bernard Ellis, Vice President of Product Strategy at SynXis. "They understand the benefits of our product and how it will allow them to maximize revenue from their upscale clientele."
