Tim Harvey assumed his current position of chief information officer and senior vice president for Hilton Hotels Corporation in December 1999. Tim is keenly focused on providing technology solutions to the Hilton family of brands and their franchisees and owners with superior business solutions to drive greater profits and better access to hotel performance information. Harvey was formerly chief information officer and executive vice president of Promus Hotel Corporation before their acquisition by Hilton Hotels Corporation in December 1999. A 21-year veteran in the hospitality industry, Harvey has held various positions in Information Technology supporting various computer, hotel & marketing business functions. He was a business consultant for Holiday Inns from 1980 to 1984, and served as manager, property management system development for Holiday Corporation 1984 to 1987. In 1987, he became director, human resource & financial systems development for Holiday Corporation and was named senior director, corporate business systems for the Promus Companies in 1990. In 1995, Harvey became vice president and chief information officer of Promus Hotel Corporation. After the merger of Promus Hotel Corporation and Doubletree Hotels in 1998, he became chief information officer and executive vice president. A Mississippi native, Harvey earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi and received his Masters of Business Administration in management from the University of Memphis. Harvey is an active member in various professional organizations including the Hostec/Eurhotec Advisory Board, Delta State University Foundation Board of Directors, and Volunteer Baseball Assistant Coach for Briarcrest Christian School. Past affiliations include the Federal Hospitality Credit Union Supervisory Committee 1994-1997, Chairman of the West Tennessee Junior Achievement Drive 1998, and Chairman for Promus United Way Campaign 1998.
