PARSIPPANY, NJ | Cendant Travel Distribution Services (TDS), a division of Cendant Corporation (NYSE:CD), today announced the renewal of its agreement with world-renowned hotel brand, Wyndham International, Inc. The renewal provides TDS’ brands, including Lodging.com and CheapTickets.com, greater access to rooms at Wyndham properties worldwide, including participating properties from its Global Hotel Alliance partners Kempinski, Pan Pacific, and Rydges Hotels. Wyndham's diverse group of upscale and luxury hotels and resorts located throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe includes brands such as Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Viva Wyndham Resorts, Wyndham Luxury Resorts and Summerfield Suites by Wyndham.
After a successful partnership with TDS’ Lodging.com, Wyndham International has broadened its agreement giving the upscale and luxury hotel chain the added benefit of receiving exposure across TDS’ various distribution channels. In addition, the Wyndham properties also renewed their participation in the NEAT dynamic packaging engine, and have preferred vendor status with TDS’ THOR and Cendant Travel units.
Chris Heinz, senior vice president of distribution and revenue management noted, "Renewing our agreement with Cendant TDS allows us to fully leverage the numerous distribution opportunities available. We’ve garnered a good working relationship with the Cendant TDS team, allowing us the proper vehicle to market available Wyndham guest rooms to those customers we could not otherwise reach.”
With the agreement, Wyndham will broaden its distribution reach and be able to market its upscale rooms to the millions of customers accessing TDS’ global channels including the 4,300 global affiliates through Lodging.com. In turn, TDS will provide its customers with a more robust inventory of rooms at Wyndham’s worldwide properties. By continuing this relationship, Wyndham will realize increased sales opportunities through multiple distribution channels, ultimately saving money on distribution costs.
