Kimpton Hotels Launches First-Ever Gay-Specific Campaign
Hotel Group Continues Diversity Initiatives with Tailored Gay & Lesbian Ad
"Earlier this year Kimpton launched our GLBT travel program which includes special honeymoon and pride packages," added Andrew Freeman, Vice President, Public Relations and Strategic Partnerships, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants. "We have seen tremendous success from our outreach to this community and are excited to unveil our advertising campaign. Along with our advertisement, we are equally proud to launch the GLBT section of the Kimpton website. This new website features Kimpton's GLBT-specific hotel packages, information on our commitment to the GLBT community, and helpful reviews from our guests."
The new ad also highlights a loyalty promotion enabling travelers to receive 10-15% off of hotel reservations made through the Kimpton website (www.kimptonhotels.com/glbt) or through a unique toll-free reservations line (800-543-4787). Customers must reference the rate code of LOY and corporate client number LOY001 in order to participate in this offer.
This advertisement is the newest development in Kimpton's popular GLBT travel program, a campaign launched in March 2004, which included gay honeymoon packages, pride packages, and event sponsorships.
The print ad was created by Blitz Partners of Washington, D.C. and will run primarily in national GLBT travel publications, beginning in August and continuing through the end of 2004.
