The Stein Group names the former CEO of the Peninsula Hotels Group as its new President

The Stein Group announces the appointment of Mr Pierre Boppe as its new presidnet. His mission will be to further develop the company’s brand in the luxury travel sector and to continue to establish the The Stein Group (www.thesteingroup.com ) as a leading owner, developer and operator of small luxury and boutique hotels throughout Europe.

Mr. Boppe brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the group. For six years he was the President and CEO of the Hong Kong-based Peninsula Hotels Group, one of the premium brands in the hospitality industry. Today, he remains a member of the Peninsula Board of Directors and also serves as the Deputy Chairman of the Kuoni Travel Group, the Swiss-based international travel company.

David Stein, founder of the Stein Group, is delighted that Pierre Boppe has joined his Company. “The appointment of Pierre Boppe is a major step towards achieving our goal of owning and operating 25 small luxury hotels in the northern part of the Mediterranean and selected European cities within the next five years ”.

The Stein Group is currently the owner/operator of seven small luxury hotels in Europe. TSG has also recently entered into operating agreements for three new hotels that will also form part of its growing brand. The brand already includes award-winning hotels such as Gran Hotel Son Net in Mallorca, Durley House in London, Brownes in Dublin, Gran Hotel La Florida in Barcelona and Blakes Amsterdam. The Stein Group also publishes Luxury Lifestyle Magazine and is the major shareholder in Luxury Lifestyle Hotels and Resorts (www.luxurylifestylehotels.com), a sales and marketing association of unique European lifestyle hotels and resorts.

Following the appointment of Pierre Boppe, David Stein will continue to hold the title of Chairman and CEO and will focus his energy in strategic issues, capital growth and in the development of further strategic partnerships for the group.
