With Hilton Hotels’ brand websites recently reaching a milestone, it shows that after the research, development and design, hotel websites are showing measurable success when put up against third party websites. In this streaming audio interview, Hilton’s Bala Subramanian discusses their advances in this department and Hilton’s relationship with some of the large travel sites.

Bala Subramanian is the Senior Vice President for Distribution & Brand Integration, Hilton Hotels Corporation HLT, based at our Beverly Hills corporate headquarters. In this position, Bala's responsibility is to provide overall leadership for our distribution strategy, impact brand positioning, customer relationship management, cross-brand marketing, and development strategy for seven industry leading hotel brands with annual revenues exceeding $9 billion. He is also Chairman of the Brand Integration Council and Distribution Strategy Council charged with identifying cost synergy's developing share of customer strategies and competitively advantageous dsitribution policies across the portfolio of brands. Before being appointed to his current position at Hilton (Promus Hotel Corporation before the merger), Bala was Corporate Vice President for Customer Information Services for Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. (formerly a brand of the Promus Companies). His history with the company begins in 1978 with Holiday Inn, Memphis as Manager of Reservations, before being promoted to Director of Market Analysis for Holiday Corporation. Bala has more than 20 years experience with the hospitality industry in creating and evolving industry dominating brands recognized for premium growth, operating performance and customer loyalty. He has been recognized with the highest honors bestowed on executives for pioneering work in the industry.
