PARIS (AFX) - Accor SA (Paris: FR0000120404 - news) said some 280 people are still missing from the Sofitel hotel at Khao Lak, north of Phuket in Thailand, out of 415 clients and staff who were at the hotel when a tidal wave struck at the weekend. Accor said that 135 survivors have been found and identified, most of whom have been transferred to Bangkok or taken to hospital, to embassies or put up in other hotels. Of the 415 in the hotel at the time, about 100 were from France, Accor said. The Sofitel was also popular with German and Australian tourists.
