“We were seeing a cost barrier for properties in the international market that only need the basic features offered by a card-lock system,” said Pascal Metivier, President of ASSA ABLOY Hospitality EMEA and Latin America. “It’s a wide-spread opportunity that needed immediate attention. VingCard’s new Alfa lock will provide properties the ability to offer their guests top quality security at a price-point that they can be comfortable with.”
Alfa is designed to serve as VingCard’s entry-level security product, completing the company’s portfolio of comprehensive electronic-locking solutions for all segments. Alfa will replace the company’s current PRESIDIO product. VingCard will continue to provide excellent service and support to all properties who have installed PRESIDIO locks around the world. VingCard’s popular Classic and DaVinci systems remain vital security solutions for hotels in other segments of the hotel market.
