Rochester Hills, Mich. | To expand awareness of its energy-savings solutions for hotels, Energy Eye™ has tapped the talents of JP Parker to serve as its Regional West Coast Representative. The Energy Eye™ system uses a combination of advanced Passive Infrared (PIR) Sensors and Wireless technologies to independently control room heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) temperatures while occupants are not in their guestrooms.

“Managing the rising energy costs for a small chain, independent hotel or resort in today’s market is no easy task,” Parker said. “Hotels need a solution that is simple for guests to use, easy for hotels to maintain and which provides immediate energy savings. Energy Eye is that ‘no-brainer’ solution.

“I’ve always had a passion for hospitality and hotel management,” he said. “Being able to work side-by-side with hotel management companies and the various brands to provide them with a solution that solves an immediate need is not only challenging, but extremely rewarding. I’m thrilled to be part of a new company that is making such a positive impact on the industry.”

Parker joined Energy Eye™ on November 1. He is a 2003 graduate of Cornell University, School of Hotel Administration. Most recently, Parker served at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco, following a year in the Hyatt Management Training Program.

“JP may not be a seasoned hospitality professional, but he has the passion and drive to make our company successful,” said Matthew Mrowczynski, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Energy Eye™. “His genuine enthusiasm for bringing an energy solution to hotels on the West Coast is refreshing. We believe that growth of our Energy Eye™ system will quickly be realized with JP on our team.”

Parker will immediately begin visiting with hotels on the West Coast to identify their energy-management challenges and to answer important implementation questions, such as: How expensive will it be to install an EMS requiring construction? Will I experience a loss of revenue during the EMS implementation or installation period due to unsold rooms? Will Energy Eye™ be reliable for years to come? How much will Energy Eye™ increase my bottom line?

“Answering these questions for hotels will be simple, because Energy Eye™ is the easiest equipment to install, use and maintain,” Parker said. “Our system does not require reconstruction or complicated wiring. We can install our components in same time as takes a housekeeper to make a room ready. Guestrooms will be available for rent daily, without losing any revenues. It’s simple to set up and requires no software or computer. It’s completely worry-free.”
