Hong Kong, Wolfgang Hültner, CEO, The Americas, Mandarin Oriental Management (USA) Inc., has announced the appointment of Patrick-Denis Finet as General Manager of Mandarin Oriental Riviera Maya, Mexico effective immediately. The luxury resort is scheduled to open in Fall 2006.

Finet was formerly General Manager of Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi, Chiang Mai, where he directed the successful opening of the Group’s first hideaway resort in late 2003. Finet brings more than 29 years of experience in luxury hotel and resort management to his new position, having held a number of senior management positions in Europe, the Indian Ocean and the Caribbean. Before joining Mandarin Oriental, Finet was General Manager of the Khalifa Group and prior to that, was general manager of Le Prince Maurice Hotel in Mauritius for five years.

“With his significant resort management experience, Patrick Finet is ideally suited to spearhead the launch of Mandarin Oriental’s first property in Latin America,” says Hültner.
