LONDON, ENGLAND; In pursuit of its objective to expand internationally, Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP) will have a notable presence at this week’s Hostec-EurHotec, Europe’s premiere technology event for foodservice and hospitality. Not only is HFTP an exhibitor, Stand H5543, but it will lead two seminars and sponsor the February 21st End of Day Cocktail Reception.

"Knowing that HFTP can offer hospitality professionals worldwide benefits that are not geographically limited, the HFTP Board of Directors has decided to actively pursue its goal for global expansion," said Frank Wolfe, CAE, HFTP’s EVP and CEO. "Contributing at important international events like Hostec-EurHotec is a way for HFTP to demonstrate how the association is a valuable resource for the industry."

Tuesday afternoon from 14:30-15:00, Wolfe will present the session, "Phishing for Bytes - 30 Information Bits in 30 Minutes." Attendees at this session will be presented with statistics, resources and updates on industry trends, regulatory issues and policies that will help them remain current on Data Privacy and Security.

Following Wolfe’s session, from 16:00-17:30, is the HFTP sponsored seminar, "VOIP, WIFI and other Digital Applications: How these Integrate with Converged Network Solutions." This session will take the format of a short presentation followed by an open forum with panel of leading industry experts. The panel includes consultants: HFTP member Clive Taylor, Clive Taylor Associates; HFTP member Ted Horner, E. Horner & Associates Pty Ltd; HFTP member Derek Wood, Derek Wood Associates Ltd; and Michael Wrigley, BOSS I.T. "As a global organization, HFTP really needed to develop a presence outside of North America," said Ralph Miller, president/owner of Inntegrated Hospitality Management Ltd. a full service hotel management and consulting company with offices in Vancouver, British Columbia and Calgary, Alberta, and HFTP’s 2006 President. "The HFTP Board of Directors has worked hard to develop quality services like our CHAE and CHTP certifications, online educational programs, HITEC, and our newest initiative Guestroom 2010, a hotel prototype guestroom and pavilion debuting at HITEC 2006. We will continue to add more educational components to our membership benefits as the year progresses."

Hostec-Eurhotec incorporates a high-level, five day educational seminar program on the show floor, networking receptions each day and close to 100 key suppliers of technology solutions to the market, all under one roof. Hostec-EurHotec is co-located with Hotelympia, the UK’s leading event for the hospitality and foodservice markets.
