The French company FastBooking – the expert in hotel booking solutions on the Internet – has just opened a new subsidiary in Canada. Located in Laval, in Quebec, FastBooking Canada has the objective of establishing FastBooking’s presence on the Canadian market.

Stimulating prospects

With 18.000 hotels and around 20 million room nights each year, the Canadian market holds real opportunities in terms of hotel room bookings over the Internet. The aim of FastBooking is to achieve the figure of 100 hotels using the FastBooking Engine over this year.

Beyond building market share in this part of the world, the opening of this subsidiary will also allow FastBooking to work more effectively with its customers residing in Canada, by guaranteeing them closer attention and added technical assistance.

FastBooking Engine already adopted by prestigious establishments

Among the prestigious hotels already using the solutions provided by FastBooking, one can name the Golf and Hotel Stastny (), the Saint Paul (), the Chateau Edmundston (), the Lord Berri (), the Clarion (), the Club Tremblant (www.clubtremblant.com), or else the XIX Siècle (). Note that the very first to place its trust in FastBooking was the Auberge Universel (), that has been using FastBooking solutions since 2001. Quite recently, the Tidan Group also chose to market all its 10 hotels using FastBooking software.

As well as using the FastBooking Engine on their hotel’s web site, these establishments are also distributed on the numerous regional gateways managed by the Paris-based service provider and in particular on .

Antoine Di Paola appointed Regional Sales Director

This new structure has been entrusted to Antoine Di Paola. Only 25 years of age, he has already occupied the functions of Sales Director at a prestigious Country Club in Quebec then those of Sales and Marketing Director for the North American market of a major textile brand. He has also distinguished himself at the oil company ESSO and has therefore been able to acquire valuable international skills in the approach to customer relations. Before joining FastBooking, he was in charge of managing major accounts for Renmark Financial, a leading Canadian investment company. As Regional Sales Director at FastBooking, Antoine Di Paola will have the benefit of all the administrative and software support of the U.S. subsidiary, based in New York and managed by Ed Brill. Beyond his undoubted management and sales qualities, Antoine Di Paola will enable FastBooking to share in his vast network of contacts woven in Canada and the United States.

FastBooking: an international presence

With this new address, FastBooking is confirming its commitment to build a rapid presence abroad. Initialised since its beginnings in 2000, with the opening of a U.S. subsidiary, this strategy of international expansion has been maintained with the creation of the Asian subsidiary in 2003 and then the Italian Representative Office in January 2006. Other subsidiaries should also be opening shortly.
FastBooking has around 60 employees, located around the four corners of the world, with about forty based at the head office in Paris. And the coming months should see these figures grow further still.

About FastBooking | FastBooking () is a service company based in Paris, whose vocation is to help independent hoteliers to build up their business on the Internet. For this purpose, the first, and undeniable, stage is the installation of the FastBooking Engine on the hotel’s Internet site. This real time multi-function booking engine will allow reservations to be made, automatically and with immediate confirmation.
FastBooking has put in place a real technical infrastructure dedicated to hoteliers, by developing software that is adapted exactly to their needs and by guaranteeing a regular transfer of skills through teams that are experts in new technologies and the hotel industry.
Among the solutions available, if the booking engine enabling Yield Management transactions to be carried out on the Internet is installed, a truly global development programme on the Internet is then on offer to hotel owners: CRS multi-hotels, representation on the GDS/IDS, Call Center interface, distribution gateways (, , ,…), loyalty e-mailing, automated monitoring of competitors and simultaneous multi-site updates.

FastBooking has a portfolio of more than 3 000 hotels worldwide. All use the FastBooking Engine on their own Internet site.

As well as the Canadian structure, FastBooking has two other subsidiaries in Singapore and New York, together with a Representative Office in Venice, Italy.
