Architected by leading design and usability firm gotomedia, the products’ new user interface designs bring together best practices in customer research, usability testing and adaptive technologies to help hotels and hotel chains optimize operations and improve the customers experience. All solutions are customizable to each hotel’s business needs.

“Extensive research conducted by gotomedia showed that while there are many online hotel booking engines and reservations systems, the technologies and interfaces that are being used still have not caught up with today’s best practices,” said Connie L. Flexibility, Choice, Results AltiusPAR 2.0 offerings provide easy-to-use interfaces that deliver clear, well organized information that’s targeted to the user task. The designs leverage AJAX UI technology to offer users the ability to quickly and directly view and customize their search query and results based on their desired preferences.

“Existing solutions are often prohibitively complex to use and do not allow for human error such as misspellings or incorrect data; they also offer very limited visibility to the availability, relevance, price, amenities, hotel policies and other options,” said Kelly Goto, principal of gotomedia. “The overall goal was to create a design that would help hotels remove existing barriers to closing the deal with the customer.”

Next-Generation Upgrades AltiusPAR 2.0 versions of CIS, CRS and IBE are available immediately and are already being implemented by AltiusPAR customers throughout North America and Europe.

  • AlitusPAR CRS 2.0 helps hotel call center agents improve the customer experience and close the deal by reducing the time for page refreshes and searching for information. With the integration of adaptive technologies, flexible workflow patterns and user feedback, CRS 2.0 offers customers significant reduction in time in call center bookings.
  • AltiusPAR CIS 2.0 offers hotels a very easy yet powerful way for hotels to manage a range of simple to complicated rate structures. The intuitive interface directs the user and eliminates frustrations that often occur when they complete complex rate management tasks.
  • AltiusPAR IBE 2.0 helps hotels remove any friction with the online booking process; their customers are presented by an easy-to-use interface that delivers clear, well organized information that promotes speed, efficiency and quick results. Customers can quickly and directly view and customize their search query and results based on their desired preferences. The redesigned interface also offer “intelligent” search tools, which provide users with a list of useful suggestions and spelling corrections based on user input.
