Travel Industry Association Announces TravelCom Res-Expo Innovators Award for Outstanding Achievements in Travel Technology and Distribution

First Annual Award to Recognize Travel's Most Innovative Companies at TravelCom Res-Expo April 6, 2007, in Las Vegas

WASHINGTON, The Travel Industry Association (TIA) announces the first annual TravelCom Res-Expo Innovators Awards to recognize those special companies whose outstanding innovations in the areas of technology, e-commerce and distribution have transformed their business and had a broad impact across the travel industry. "We established this award to recognize the best the industry has to offer in the area of technology, e-commerce and distribution," said Roger Dow, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Travel Industry Association. "Recipients of the first-ever TravelCom Res-Expo Innovators Award will showcase the pinnacle of design, functionality, and technological achievement."

Call for Entries

TIA invites companies from across the travel industry, both new and established, to submit their product and service innovations -- or nominate the innovations of others -- for consideration for one of two TravelCom Res- Expo Innovators Awards:

  • TravelCom Res-Expo New Innovator Award -- For companies less than five years old.

  • TravelCom Res-Expo Established Innovator Award -- For companies in business at least five years.

TIA has assembled a panel of top travel executives representing the full spectrum of the travel industry to review all entries. Winning companies will be recognized at the upcoming TravelCom Res-Expo conference in Las Vegas in front of hundreds of travel industry leaders and media. TravelCom Res-Expo Innovators Award winners will also be invited to join the judging panel and serve as presenters to next year's winners. TIA will provide award recipients with free attendance passes to the TravelCom conference in 2008.
