The Lexington Collection

Cleveland, OH -- The Lexington Collection is pleased to announce that the Rivanna River Resort, located near Charlottesville, Virginia, has become the newest addition to its growing brand. The 64-suite resort is currently being constructed and will be open to the public in late 2008.

The architecturally designed lodge will be located atop a hill in the foothills of the picturesque Blue Ridge Mountains and will feature a full-service spa, four-star restaurant, state-of-the-art fitness center, a conference center with five meeting rooms, tennis center, a heated indoor swimming pool and two unique schools – one in the visual arts and the other in the healthy lifestyle nutrition teachings.

“The Rivanna River Resort hallmarks all the luxuries and refinements in resort accommodations; it invokes the ‘I wish I could stay longer’ mentality,” said Steve Belmonte, President, CEO and Partner of Vantage Hospitality’s Lexington Collection. “We’re proud to add another premier property to our brand.”

Situated adjacent to the Laurel Ridge Golf Course, the resort will make available for its guests a variety of popular outdoor activities such as horseback riding, hiking and cycling on the trails along the Rivanna River and through the mountain range. The resort will be home to a tennis facility with six soft outdoor courts and three hard indoor courts. A tennis professional will be on the premises to offer individualized tennis and fitness consultations and lessons.

“Guests will experience the uniqueness and energy of the area,” Phil Carrow, owner of the Rivanna River Resort by Lexington said. “This property is poised to be the vanguard resort in the area. We have an unbeatable menu of services with a spectacular array of activities available to everyone – from business travelers to families.”

“I’m excited to be a part of a growing brand that will allow me the freedom to run the resort the way I want while at the same time being a part of a national hotel chain,” Carrow explained. “With Lexington, I can tap into its comprehensive resources and brand recognition. I have the best of both worlds.”

The 5000 square foot conference center will include four boardrooms and a large banquet hall.

The full-service spa will be a respite for elegance and rejuvenation for guests who desire an immersion in relaxation and pampering. It will offer a myriad of services ranging from body massages, facials, aromatic therapies and baths.

The Plein Aire (french, meaning ‘open air’) art school will be housed at the resort. With a faculty of masters in the visual arts, guests will be offered customized classes to indulge their creative side while using the majestic landscape as inspiration.

Another jewel in the property’s crown is the Healthy Lifestyles nutrition class available to guests. The curriculum can be personalized and hands-on participation is encouraged. Class participants will be advised on portion control, grocery shopping, meal planning and food preparation, as well as classes on physical fitness, spa therapy and creating an active lifestyle change.

Each fully-furnished room will feature granite counter tops, a full height refrigerator, a microwave oven, a two-burner stove, tiled bathroom floors, high-speed wireless internet connection, two full-sized plasma televisions and luxurious 300-thread count bedding.

Gracing 10 acres of pristine river and mountain playground, the Rivanna River Resort will add another 24 suites to the property within the next five years.

The Lexington Collection hotel chain premiered to the public in 2006 and has been charting a new course in the hospitality industry since then. The Lexington brand is available to three and four star hotels and offers hotel owners four distinct products - hotels, suites, villas and resorts, and plazas. In addition, the Lexington Collection provides owners with short-term contracts, a low monthly fee, a choice in their amenities and services, all part of Lexington’s freestyle lodging model.

As The Lexington Collection- an innovative and affordable alternative to franchising - continues to make a major impact in the industry, additional major announcements on strategic and operational developments will be made.
