Hilton Kingston in Jamaica Raises Over $100,000

Hilton Kingston Jamaica staff and volunteers helped raise over US$100,000 at a hotel organized Hilton K.I.D.S. (Kindness in Donations & Services) charity telethon on Sunday, June 10, 2007.

All funds collected will benefit local children’s organizations.

K.I.D.S. is a region-wide fundraising initiative at Hilton hotels in the Caribbean & Latin America, benefiting local children’s organizations in the communities where hotels operate. Guests are invited to voluntarily contribute during their stay and staff members contribute by donating their time at hotel-organized fundraising events. All funds collected help underprivileged children in the location where the money was raised.

Hilton Kingston has used funds from previous fundraising efforts to help rebuild local schools. The hotel aims to build a new school each year, and for 2007 the hotel’s goal is to build three new schools.
