The National Business Travel Association (NBTA) announced today that the three latest installments in the Framework for Success series on strategic meetings management are now available online for NBTA members. The papers, published as part of the NBTA Groups & Meetings Committee’s seminal series on the subject, were also recently distributed on CD at the 2007 NBTA International Convention & Exposition in Boston.

One of the new papers, Evaluating Strategic Meetings Management Programs, gives travel managers tools for measuring the effectiveness of a strategic meetings management program (SMMP). A manipulatable scorecard provides a methodology and mechanism for scoring a program against the company’s meetings management goals, while explanations and examples of various types of ROI associated with SMMPs provide further information on driving value.

Additionally, two new Critical Meeting Components papers provide guidance on effective selection of meeting venues and destination management companies.

Strategic meetings management is the practice of applying enterprise-wide policies and procedures to the procurement of meetings services in order to drive savings, minimize risk, maximize efficiency and enhance value. The concept was pioneered by the NBTA Groups & Meetings Committee, which continues to develop resources on the practice.

These and other NBTA white papers are available to members at no charge. See .
