(Nasdaq: MCRS), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality and retail industries, is pleased to announce that it has signed a contract with Cara Operations Limited to supply its MICROS Pay-at-the-Table solution to Cara restaurant locations across Canada. Planned as the largest implementation of a pay-at-the-table solution in North America, initial installations for the solution are scheduled for September 2007 with full rollout to commence in October 2007 and conclude by the summer of 2008.

As Canada's leading branded full-service restaurant company and airline services provider, Cara has set a new precedent in the hospitality industry by tackling one of today's foremost consumer concerns, credit card data security. MICROS's pay-at-the-table solution will enable Cara to help reduce its Guests' fears by offering them the ability to make payments without ever relinquishing possession of their credit or debit card. By seamlessly integrating MICROS's 3700 Point-of-Sale solution with a mobile payment device from VeriFone Holdings, Inc., Cara puts the Guest in control of the payment process. In addition to decreasing the risk of consumer fraud, MICROS's pay-at-the-table solution will also increase speed-of-service at Cara restaurants and offer financial benefits by allowing debit transactions which offer lower processing fees.
