In the new edition of The World’s Best Hotels, an initiative of the leading American financial magazine Institutional Investor, the InterContinental Amstel Amsterdam has been awarded no.90 in the annual list of the world’s top hotels. The Amstel Hotel in Amsterdam is the only hotel in the Netherlands that has achieved a ranking in the top 100 of The World’s Best Hotels 2007.

Since 1980 the financial investment magazine Institutional Investor has yearly organised an exclusive poll of senior executives from over thirty countries who choose the best hotels of the world based on their own experiences. The results of the election are showcased in the book The World’s Best Hotels; a tribute to the efforts of the world’s top hotels.

The Willard InterContinental in Washington DC and the InterContinental Le Grand in Paris have respectively been awarded no. 55 and 57 in the list. Since the opening in 1867 the InterContinental Amstel Amsterdam has been celebrated as the most prestigious hotel in the Netherlands. For more information please visit and .
