NEW YORK, NY | The New Yorker Hotel (), located in the heart of midtown Manhattan, has launched The New Yorker Scene Blog providing updates on the $65 million renovation and remodeling project currently taking place at the historic hotel. The renovation and remodeling project at the New Yorker Hotelincludes the installation of a state-of-the-art heating and air conditioning system for the entire hotel; an overhaul of furniture, carpets, wallpaper and fixtures in both guest rooms and the hallways on the guest floors; a redesign of the lobby to recapture the grandeur and feel of the New Yorker when it opened in 1930; a “facelift” of the entire front of the hotel on Eighth Avenue; enhancements to guest services including free Wi-Fi service and enhanced television programming; and an upgrade of the hotel’s current restaurants (the 24-hour Tick Tock Diner and Cooper’s Tavern).
