Four Seasons Employees Name Company To Fortune "100 Best Companies To Work For" List
Four Seasons Makes List for 11th Consecutive Year
TORONTO, Canada | Recently, a guest at Four Seasons Resort Maui got her custom-made wedding dress caught in the car door, leaving multiple puncture holes. With only a few short hours to go before the bride was to wear it down the aisle, she was understandably panicked. Thinking on their feet, the Resort’s Housekeepers promptly sent the guest to the spa to relieve her tension while they set about artfully mending the gown by adding stylish appliqués. Thanks to their resourcefulness, the bride had the dress she had always dreamed of.
“In North America and around the world, all 35,000 Four Seasons employees go above and beyond the call of duty to make the guest experience all the more rewarding,” said Isadore Sharp, chairman and CEO, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. “Our employees wake up each day thinking of new ways to make each guest’s stay memorable, and we are honoured they have recognized us again this year.”
For the 11th consecutive year, Four Seasons has been named by FORTUNE magazine as one of the “100 Best Companies to Work For,” ranking 88th. Four Seasons is one of only 14 organizations that have the distinction of being named to the list every year since its inception. Once again, Four Seasons is the only Canadian company to make the list.
“Hospitality is one of the most people-intensive businesses,” said Nick Mutton, executive vice-president, human resources, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. “In our business, people are the product like in no other industry. We are very fortunate to have and retain such committed, talented individuals and we thank them for this honour.”
The “100 Best Companies to Work For” list is compiled for FORTUNE by Robert Levering and Milton Moskowitz of the Great Place to Work Institute in San Francisco. Companies are selected for the list primarily on the basis of their employees' responses to the Great Place to Work Survey. For more information on the list and how it is compiled, visit .
