SHERMAN, Conn. This year for the first time ever, PhoCusWright@ITB will include The PhoCusWright Bloggers Summit, a new event dedicated to outstanding content and networking opportunities for bloggers and leaders in the travel industry.

The PhoCusWright Bloggers Summit, which will be held on March 5-6 during the ITB conference in Berlin, is a brand-new part of PhoCusWright@ITB, a one-day event designed to build knowledge and contacts for the e-commerce side of the travel business. ITB Berlin is the world’s leading travel trade show, with more than 180,000 visitors and over 10,000 exhibitors from 180 countries.

The PhoCusWright Bloggers Summit workshops, presented by the Tips from the T-List book, will explore innovations in blogging and user-generated content trends with an expert panel of travel marketers and technologists from around the world. Summit participants also will hear how an active, content-producing network of bloggers can have a growing influence on online spending habits. Other Bloggers Summit sessions will focus on gathering and sharing techniques, strategies, contacts and more. The Summit workshops are open to all ITB Berlin attendees; all other Summit sessions are available to approved bloggers (see link below for more information).

“We’re excited to bring this new Bloggers Summit to PhoCusWright@ITB,” said Bruce Rosard, vice president, sales and marketing for PhoCusWright. “This event will give valuable tools to travel suppliers, DMOs, OTAs and other companies that are looking to engage the blogging community and to focus user-generated content for their benefit.”

“Travel industry bloggers are impacting the industry; PhoCusWright is enabling the blogging community with exclusive content and press credibility,” said Stephen Joyce, publisher of the Tips from the T-List book. “Bringing an international group of key travel industry bloggers together will strengthen the community and give great insights to our readers,” added Joyce. Jens Thraenhart, the book’s editor in chief states, “The collective knowledge of the T-List blogging community and making this content available in the form of the Tips from the T-List book (a summary of the most relevant posts) as well as the Bloggers Summit (panel discussions of bloggers sharing best practices) will provide vital expertise for travel, hospitality and tourism practioners.”

PhoCusWright is still accepting qualified travel industry bloggers who wish to participate in the Summit along with other industry leaders. More information for attendees and potential blogger participants is available online at .
