Hotel Management Professional Dana Divine to Serve as Allied Director at Large
The National Business Travel Association (NBTA) today at its 40th Annual International Convention & Exposition announced that Dana Divine, Senior Sales Manager with The Davenport Hotel and Tower, was elected to the NBTA Board of Directors. Divine will serve as an Allied Director at large, a two-year position to begin at the close of the Annual Convention through the close of the second succeeding annual NBTA Member business meeting.

Divine has been an NBTA Member for six years. She has attended and participated in many NBTA events, including two NBTA Legislative Summits, where she has met with her Congressional representatives to address the pressing legislative issues affecting the business travel community. Divine is also the President of the Inland Northwest Business Travel Association, for which she tripled membership and implemented an annual consumer trade that gives participating exhibitors a measurable Return on Investment (ROI.) In the past five years, she has succeeded in doubling exhibitors at this event.
Divine has been in the corporate travel industry for nearly 30 years. She has spent the last 10 years in hotel management and was a meeting planner for a large national trade association in Washington, D.C. for 14 years. Divine also served on the Washington State board of Meeting Professionals International.
Maguire continued, "With Dana's vast experience on both the buyer and supplier sides, she will bring to the table her experiences, lessons learned and new ideas from many perspectives. I'm confident she will serve our members and industry well."
Ten corporate travel buyers and four suppliers, including two Allied Directors at large and the president and vice president of the Allied Leadership Council, sit on the NBTA Board of Directors. All board members serve a term of two years. NBTA's Board elections are held each year in conjunction with the International Convention & Exposition.
