DALLAS, On September 1, Gilles Pelisson, director and chief executive officer of Accor worldwide, announced the addition of four executives to the Accor Executive Committee. Olivier Poirot, former CFO of Accor UK Ltd. and current CEO of Accor North America and Motel 6/Studio 6, was appointed to the worldwide Accor Executive Committee, which oversees the company's services and portfolio of more than 3,800 hotels in 90 countries.

"To improve our ability to successfully meet the challenges of the future, I have decided, in agreement with the Board of Directors, to strengthen and enhance the Executive Committee," said Pelisson. "Olivier Poirot is joining the Executive Committee after an excellent start as head of Motel 6/Studio 6 for the United States, Canada and Mexico and of the Accor North America corporate functions."

Poirot began his career with Accor in 1992, where he served as CFO of Accor UK Ltd., in charge of finance, IT, procurement and legal for Accor hotels in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Since 2007, he has been president and chief executive officer of Accor North America and chief executive officer of Motel 6 and Studio 6, covering the geographic regions of the USA, Canada and Mexico.
