Mumbai Terror attacks hit tourism, hospitality industry
Terror attacks on luxury hotels in Mumbai are likely to have a serious impact on the flow of the tourists coming to western India including Gujarat and Rajasthan. Experts believe that hotels here will lose out on foreign tourists and the business travellers, as the region has been the epicentre of Terror attacks in the last one year. Global slowdown has already reduced the business traveller’s checking-in to these hotels, and now, the foreign tourists have been asked by their respective governments to keep away from the western region, unless essential. About 30 per cent bookings in hotels in Mumbai have been cancelled after the terror attack.
