2009 Nova Scotia Festivals & Events Announced by Nova Scotia Tourism
Silver Dart Centennial and Tall Ships Festival among signature events in Nova Scotia Tourism’s 2009 event schedule
During the Tall Ships Nova Scotia Festival, July 16-29, 2009, over 40 ships from around the world will arrive in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The 2009 Tall Ships Festival will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Canadian Navy. Following the Parade of Sail in Halifax, July 20, 2009, designated ships will head to ports around Nova Scotia—from Cape Breton to Lunenburg.
Nova Scotia Tourism’s 37 Signature Events & Festivals also include the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo in July; Halifax International Busker Festival in August; and the Nova Scotia Fall Wine Festival in September & October, among many others.
