Food & Wine Events Showcase Nova Scotia Restaurants from February 1 – March 1, 2009
Nova Scotia cuisine & wine at the heart of the Savour Food & Wine event (February 1-28, 2009) and the Nova Scotia Icewine Festival (February 12-February 22)
The crowning event of the month is the sell-out Savour Food and Wine Show on February 26 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Over 60 of the finest Nova Scotia restaurants offer delicious and decadent samples from their menus, paired with a wide range of local wines and beers.
A new addition to Savour Food and Wine this year is the Winter Icewine Festival. From February 12 – 22, various dining locations and wineries will offer wine tastings, gourmet dinners, cooking classes and food and wine pairing events – all featuring Nova Scotia's internationally recognized icewines.
Winter in Nova Scotia is also the perfect time to visit the province's best restaurants for the annual "Dine Out Nova Scotia" festival. Participating restaurants offer three-course meals from a prix fixe menu from February 16 – March 1.
