IDEO Executive to Speak at HITEC 2009

Doug Solomon leads technology strategy efforts at IDEO, the Palo Alto, Calif., innovation and design firm that has worked with companies from Procter & Gamble to Bank of America and was recently listed fifth in Fast Company’s Top 50 Most Innovative Companies. With more than 25 years of leadership experience in the information technology industry, Solomon has a particular interest and experience in collaborative technologies that enable greater community engagement and participation. Prior to IDEO, he was Vice President of Investments at Omidyar Network, helping pioneer a new approach to socially-aware investments. He was also Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Chief Strategy Officer at both Apple and Palm, in addition to holding leadership roles at Interval Research and several technology startups.
